What is a wellbeing relaxation session?
It’s a deeply relaxing, mindfulness meditative experience, where you can de-stress, and quiet your mind with surroundings of Tibetan bowls, drum, Koshi chimes and few other specialized instruments. It’s like a calming therapy for your mind and the nervous system.
You can lie down on a yoga mat or a therapy bed or just sit on a chair. It’s up to you. The session takes 45-60 minutes. I’m going to guide you through the whole process with my voice while playing instruments. You don’t need to know how to meditate. Actually, you don’t need to do anything at all to get benefits of these sessions.
Before the end of this session, I can also teach you a few ‘How to relax’ techniques, which let you reduce your stress levels in everyday life. I can also give you a few other tips on how to improve your wellbeing.
That said, if you just want to relax, unwind and enjoy this experience, that’s ok too, it’s your choice. I tailor my approach to the individual person.
I’m based in Dublin 2. However, appointments can be scheduled to take place in your own home or your company at your convenience. Wellbeing sessions can be beneficial for your whole family too. How does it work?
We have a tendency to be constantly busy. We are juggling different tasks every day. The modern world has amplified the natural business of life with a variety of networked gadgets too. Sometimes, it’s just too much data to process for our brains. We feel tired, anxious, or stressed and we are not sure what to do about it. Our minds simply require to rest.
The sound of the instruments I play during a session help to facilitate shifts in our brainwave state by using entrainment.
Entrainment synchronizes our brainwaves by providing a stable frequency, which the brainwave can attune to.
By using rhythm and frequency, we can entrain our brainwaves from the beta state, which is a daily activity level of consciousness to alpha – relaxed consciousness; We can even reach a meditative state – theta or delta, which is a deep sleep state.
This session will help you de-stress and restore the balance of your nervous system. A couple of my clients have said that they haven’t slept so well for a long time after one of my sessions.
Some of my clients also like to combine these sessions with coaching, as it helps them to get more clarity and create smarter goals. When we are relaxed, we are able to see things from a different perspective. We can find wiser solutions to our problems and better ways to achieve our targets because our vision is clearer.
